2007 YORK FEDERAL FELLOWS

Julie Aiken, York Little Theatre. Inc., will attend a retreat in Arizona to study stress-reduction and effective focusing techniques, and will also travel to visit theatres with diverse youth outreach programs.
Carolyn Friend, AHEAD, will attend the UCLA Anderson School of Management – African American Leadership Training Institute. While in California, she will also explore the state and write.
Michael Hady, Memorial Hospital, will attend the Harvard University Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management, the Servant Leadership International Conference, and prepare for a marathon.
Gwenyth Loose, York County Rail Trail Authority, will write a book featuring women leaders in the Appalachian Trail community. As part of the preparation for this book, she will participate in an Appalachian Trail outdoor experience.
Michael Lowe, York City School District, will participate in the Leadership York Leadership Training Program and the Harvard Principal Institute.
Debra Stock, YWCA of York, will attend Harvard Business School’s Governing for Nonprofit Excellence, which will examine issues of critical concern to board leaders. She will also attend the Democratic National Convention, and will attend a taping of the Oprah Winfrey show.
