Park Locations/Addresses of planted daffodils.

In 2008, 300 volunteers from community groups, local businesses, and neighborhood churches, sporting khaki "I Dig Daffodils" hats, planted 25,000 bulbs in parks and green spaces around the City at the 4th Annual Daffodil Dig. To date, 125,000 daffodil bulbs have been planted around the City by more than 600 volunteers.

The bright yellow flowers pop up all around the City in mid-April. Take a drive around town to enjoy this harbinger of spring!

The Daffodil Dig blossomed from efforts and recommendations from Beautiful York summits and a visit by Lynden B. Miller, a preeminent designer of public gardens in New York City who has been instrumental in restoring many of that city's neglected and avoided urban spaces.

The Beautiful York Endowment supports programs and projects within the City of York that promote stewardship and enhancement of York's natural and built environment, promote excellence in the cityscape, create amenities to enrich lives, and encourage collaboration and coordinated planning for city beautification.
