YORK COUNTY DOLLARS FOR SCHOLARS

Dollars for Scholars chapters reach out to meet the educational needs of students throughout York County. Post-secondary education scholarships are awarded throughout the County through partnerships with thirteen Dollars for Scholars chapters.

Since 1994 eleven of these chapters have established endowments through the York County Community Foundation to ensure perpetual opportunity for their students.

Since inception, the York County Dollars for Scholars program has awarded nearly 2800 scholarships totaling over $3 million. In 2006 alone, over 354 Dollars for Scholars scholarships were awarded for a total of $420,000.

• Randy Byrnes Girls Soccer Scholarship: designated for female soccer players in York County
• Herbert S. & Louella B. Dallmeyer Scholarship: designated for pursuing studies related to water resource conservation, environmental law or general environmental studies
• Marea V. Eyster Memorial Scholarship: designated for students attending Millersville University
