EARLY LEARNING ENDOWMENT PROGRAM

Early Learning Endowment Program, supported with a $500,000 challenge grant from The Heinz Endowments, is helping York County Community Foundation and seven childcare centers in York County build endowment for quality, affordable early childhood care and education.

These centers are among childcare programs throughout York County participating in York County's Focus On Our Future initiative, launched by York County Community Foundation seven years ago and now led by United Way of York County, which has engaged business, childcare professionals and other educators, legislators, funders and community volunteers to help get our young children off to a good start in life.

Childcare programs sponsored by these organizations are participating in the Early Learning Endowment Program:

• Crispus Attucks Association
• Otterbein United Methodist Church (Mt. Wolf)
• St. Paul's Lutheran Church (York)
• YMCA of York and York County
• York Day Nursery & Kindergarten
• York Jewish Community Center
• YWCA of Hanover
