Michael Boustead
Retired, CGA Law Firm Mr. Boustead served as the Community Foundation’s first Legal Counsel from 1992 until his retirement from CGA Law Firm in 2002. He provided exemplary legal services, guiding the organization through its Revitalization Initiative as it grew from a $1M organization to a $25M community foundation.
Mr. Boustead painstakingly established corporate structures and restated corporate documents which were necessary to guide the Foundation toward a modern system of procedures and operations. And, he spend countless hours carefully and skillfully explaining these procedures and operations, as well as the role of a community foundation in supporting and promoting charitable activity in the York community to trust institutions, attorneys, and the Orphans’ Court, while enabling unrestricted transfers of trust funds from fiduciary institutions and others.
