Working Together to Create a Vibrant York County

The Community Foundation awards grants to nonprofit organizations that align with our strategic focus areas. Our focus areas are determined by volunteer committees and Community Foundation staff who use community plans, research, and the intentions of donors who have established funds at the Community Foundation.

The Community Foundation understands that strategic philanthropy is the most effective way to achieve significant results with limited resources. Grant proposals may be solicited or requested through our grant application processes or by developing partnerships to achieve our goals.

THRIVE Grants from the Fund for York County

The Fund for York County is the foundation’s fund to address the needs of a changing York County. Grants from the Fund for York County focus on fueling community transformation by helping low-income individuals build economic mobility to help them thrive. These grants are called THRIVE Grants.

Embracing Aging Grants

Embracing Aging is a long-term initiative that provides education and advocacy to advance aging-in-place concepts and planning. We strive to dismantle ageism and build age-equity to help us thrive as we age. Our grants support organizations serving York County residents ages 50 and older.
