York County Community Foundation is a public charity that partners with individuals, families and business to make permanent charitable connections, now and for generations to come.
We are governed by a volunteer board of community leaders and run by professionals with expertise in knowing our community's needs. We go beyond simply making grants that advance charitable activities: we also identify current and emerging issues, stimulate resources to address those needs and help our region prepare for the future.
It's for these reasons that community foundations represent one of the fastest growing areas of philanthropy. When charitably minded people like you seek creative and lasting ways to give, we can help you connect to the causes that matter most.
Established in 1961, York County Community Foundation is one of the fastest growing community foundations in the Commonwealth with:
- A collection of more than 400 funds established by donors for charitable purposes;
- Assets of nearly $60 million;
- Community investments, program initiatives and scholarship funds that generated more than $8 million in grants in 2006.
