York County Community Foundation Energy Program provides technical and financial assistance to York County nonprofit organizations to help them conserve energy-and reduce operating costs. The Community Foundation provides this support through the Charles G. Eyster Family Fund and the Energy Conservation Fund, which was established by the work of Mr. Eyster.

Technical Assistance Services. The Energy Program provides technical assistance services to evaluate energy efficiency opportunities and to assist with the design of new buildings or major renovation projects.
Financial Assistance Services The Energy Program provides financial assistance services in the form of direct grants, analysis of financing options and grant writing assistance. The services of the Energy Program are intended to help you bring it all together. We work with your organization to create an energy saving implementation plan which addresses both the technical and financial barriers that prevent many organizations from taking action. Each project is unique and as such the implementation plan will be customized to meet your needs and goals. Our goal on every project is to help you generate the maximum amount of energy savings for the least cost. The first step is to complete an assessment grant application or contact Marcus Sheffer, Program Coordinator (see below): Nonprofits, municipalities, schools, architects, designers, and contractors are welcome to join us for free energy workshops that will teach how to assess a building’s energy usage, how to develop energy saving strategies, and how to finance them. More information is available at Spring Workshops. Spring Energy Workshop - "Cut Energy Costs, Brighten the Future" Spring Energy Workshop - "Pay Me Now, or Pay Me Later"
