Partnership Grant Opportunities

The Community Foundation actively seeks out partnerships and new opportunities to achieve its goals to improve educational outcomes for students, revitalizing downtowns and maximize the impact of nonprofits and municipalities through strategic alliances.

Partnership grants are for large-scale projects that create systemic change and result in significant community-wide improvement. The Community Foundation seeks to play a role in the development of these projects and therefore encourages potential applicants to engage us in the early stages of concept development.

Maximum Grant Amount: Grant limits are determined by availability of funds and potential impact of the project.

Application Due Date: There is no deadline to apply.

The Community Foundation is accepting grant applications that address one of the following strategic focus areas:


Vision: York County students are successful in school because they receive a premier education. Teaching children so they are well-prepared for life and work is the key to their future and the future of our community. The Community Foundation seeks to significantly improve the delivery of education to students.

Revitalizing Downtowns

Vision: The downtowns in York County are vibrant places to live, work and play. The Community Foundation seeks to strengthen our downtown centers by supporting projects that attract residents, business and visitors.

Nonprofit and Municipal Strategic Alliances

Vision: York County nonprofits and municipalities maximize their impact through powerful collaborations and alliances. All nonprofits and municipalities should be collaborating with others to achieve their mission. The Community Foundation seeks to support organizations that are moving beyond collaboration and actually consolidating services, combining locations or merging to improve service-delivery, increase efficiency and be more sustainable.

How to Apply:

  1. Contact Lise Levin, Vice President of Community Investment, by either email or phone to discuss the proposed project.

  2. Complete a preliminary partnership application via the Community Foundation's online application process. A staff member will email you a direct link to the application.

  3. After reviewing the preliminary application, the Community Foundation will contact potential applicants to let them know if they will be invited to submit a full grant proposal which may include a site visit and presentation to the Community Foundation's Grant Distribution Committee.

  4. All partnership grants must be approved by the Community Foundation's Board of Directors.
