WOMEN'S GIVING CIRCLE

What is the Women's Giving Circle (WGC)? Over the past several years we have committed over $150,000 in initiatives to... As we strive to continually widen our circle of members, we offer several Basic Membership options which fund our grantmaking activities. We also have some scholarship funds, dependent upon available funding. Supporting and Sustaining Memberships provide funding for scholarships as well as for administrative services. These options are explained in the 2007 membership form.

"Strategic philanthropy bridges 'what is' and 'what can be.' This is an exciting venture in philanthropy for all of us."

General membership events include quarterly Membership Meetings and periodic Learning Sessions to explore particular areas of interest. Those members who wish to be more actively involved are encouraged to participate in study groups focusing on our three particular areas of interest.

The Women’s Giving Circle of York County Community Foundation (WGC) seeks out grant opportunities in response to projects initiated or identified by the WGC which focus on strengthening the connections among people and groups (building “social capital”) to advance key themes of the YorkCounts Action Plan. For more information, please read our Policy for Unsolicited Grant Requests.

We would be delighted to welcome you as a member of the Women's Giving Circle!
