WOMEN'S GIVING CIRCLE

What is the Women's Giving Circle (WGC)?

"Strategic philanthropy bridges 'what is' and 'what can be.' This is an exciting venture in philanthropy for all of us."

The Women's Giving Circle of York County Community Foundation is one of a growing number of women's giving circles that have sprung up across the country over the past decade. Although they vary in their size and interests, their common thread is bringing together women who want to learn more about their community and leverage their charitable dollars for greater impact.

What are the WGC's investment priorities?

Programs and study throughout the year focus on the WGC's interest in addressing these major themes of the YorkCounts Action Plan: Study groups give WGC members the opportunity to study issues in depth and recommend investment opportunities. For more information, please read Policy for Unsolicited Grant Requests.
