We're looking for a few great nonprofit leaders!
The Community Foundation is pleased to announce the third year of the York Federal Fellows Program in Nonprofit Community Leadership, an initiative to give up to six nonprofit leaders each year a unique opportunity to intensively enhance their leadership capabilities.
Each individual will be asked to embark on an extraordinary journey.
Each will be asked to design and implement a plan to explore areas of professional and personal growth that hitherto had been impossible because of time or monetary constraints.
The goal of the Fellowship is to remove enough constraints to enable individual nonprofit leaders to break new ground, learn new skills and experiment with new approaches.
Each year, we will encourage Fellows to think as expansively as possible about their Fellowships.
Four assumptions form the York Federal Fellows Program’s underpinnings:
- Excellent leadership is the most important criteria determining nonprofit success.
- Nonprofit leaders and their organizations face constant change, generally low remuneration and workloads that often force myopic tendencies.
- Too few opportunities are available to the sector for professional development and renewal.
- The nonprofit sector carries the weight for all the Community Foundation does. Without strong nonprofit leadership in the community, the Community Foundation will not have strong partners.
